Description
This color postcard features a naval battleship on the water with the coast and buildings behind it. The ship has two funnels/stacks in the center, smoke emitting from the one on the right, and two masts on either end. United States flags are on each end of the ship. An eagle in the center of two crossed United States flags is in the upper left of the card. The title in the lower left reads "U. S. Battleship Kentucky." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right and the card is postmarked Amsterdam, New York, August 11, 1909. The image of an eagle carrying a United States flag shield is in the upper left. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mr. Harry Sanders in Williston, North Dakota.
