Description
This color postcard features a naval ship moving through the open water. The ship features three funnels/stacks in the center of the ship, all emitting black smoke. The title in the bottom center of the card reads "U. S. Battleship "Louisiana." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard made in Germany and provides indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right and the card is postmarked New Orleans, Louisiana November 11, 1911. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Norma Lorrey in New Orleans, Louisiana.

New Orleans La. 11-13-11 Dear Friend. Norma and Mrs. Meyer could you come down home Sunday if she says yes. Write me a postal ad I will be at your house for 8.00 am. [?] soon. Yours Truly A Seasians [?] yard office. [sic]
