Description

This postcard features a color illustration of the U. S. S. Main where it sank in Havana Harbor in Habana, Cuba. A United States flag can be seen hanging from the mast where it stands from the wreckage. "The Main" is printed below the image and "Habana" is printed in the lower left of the card. An inscription is written in Spanish below the image and title. [see transcription field] The back of the card is addressed to Gonzalo Camara in Merida Lucatan, Mexico. The card is postmarked Habana, Cuba, April 7, 1906 and a red Maximo Gomez postage stamp is in the upper right.
