Description

This postcard features a black and white photograph of St. Joseph's Academy in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. The building is a long, white, two story building with decorative trim along the roof and the balcony. Dormers line the roof and a cross is erected at the dormer in the center of the building. A group of people are gathered in front of the building. The name of the academy is printed beneath the left edge of the image. A handwritten inscription beneath the image reads "Aug. 22/06 Had a nice trip over, and a good rest last night. Madie c/o Mrs. Tenni." The back of the postcard is addressed to Mrs. J. A. Duffers in New Orleans, Louisiana. The card is postmarked August 23, 1906 and green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner.
