In this deed of trust, dated November 2, 1922, Alvin Fletcher is indebted to L. W. Hughes, guardian of Alf Hughes for one hundred and nine dollars with six percent interest pursuant with the terms of the accompanying promissory note of the same date. Two horses and a wagon are named in the deed as collateral to secure the loan. A stamped and written note on the back of the deed states that the debt was transferred to W. W. Dodd.

In this Kosciusko Bank promissory note, dated May 20, 1922, B. W. Lewenbery promises to pay J. H. Cain, Cashier, eighty-two dollars and twenty-five cents. Lewenbery provided a one hundred dollar L. L. Bond as collateral to be sold should the loan not be repaid by August 20, 1922. "Paid by E. L. Ray 9-29-23" is handwritten on the back of the note.
