The envelope is postmarked Bristow, Oklahoma, December 24, 1909 and a red, two sent George Washington postage stamp is placed sideways in the upper right corner.

    This article, titled "Kosciusko Public School Closes", details the graduation exercise of the Kosciusko High School including the program of various speakers and music. The article goes on to praise Professor Boyd and his assistants for their "unceasing labor for the success of the school." The class roll of the graduates is at the end of the article. The estimated year of this graduation is based on Leighton Ray's presence in the graduating class. There is some damage near the bottom of the article.

He shares other news that is loosely related and ends the letter by saying he may resign from his recently elected position as lieutenant in a Yankee regiment due to the cost of the uniforms.

The location of the strip of land is described in the deed and the deed was notarized by Justice of the Peace, B. W. Runnels. The filing notice at the Chancery Court by the clerk is located on the back of the deed.
