  In this letter, dated Oct. 1, 1963, Myrtis S. Wineman writes to Norman Guice to explains why she has not written to him in a long time. She goes on to inform him that she has written to Lee Guice but has not had any response from him. She shares some information she learned form a woman in Louisiana that my be helpful in giving the Guice family a claim in the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She confirms that Day's Rawls family line is the same as her own, stemming from Luke Rawls. She goes on to provide information on their shared Rawls family line, including names, dates, and places.

  In this typed copy of a letter, dated February 25, 1963, Dorothy McDonald writes to Myrtis S. Wineman to introduce herself as being from the Guice family line and asks Wineman for the opportunity to read Wineman's sister Eunice's genealogy notes. Wineman notes across the top of the page that this is a copy and that McDonald is a descendant of Christopher, Jacob, and Abram Guice. She writes "Mrs. McDonald's query was in Genealogical Helper, Sept 2, 1962 issue-page 133" at the bottom of the page.

The envelope is postmarked Sterlington, Louisiana, March 28, 1962 and contains a purple, four cent Abraham Lincoln postage stamp.

A handwritten post not shares that she and other Guice members are trying to revise the Guice Family Tree. A note written by Myrtis Wineman is written across the top of the letter stating who she obtained the letter from and that she can keep it.
