Lincoln, the man of the people

A pamphlet containing the poem "Lincoln, the Man of the People" written by Edwin Markham. A short statement at the top of the sheet gives context to the poem, and this statement reads "This revised version was chosen out of two-hundred-fifty Lincoln poems by the committee headed by Chief Justice Taft, to be read at the dedication of the great Lincoln Memorial erected by the government in Washington, D.C., in 1922. There were one-hundred thousand listeners on the ground and two-million over the Radio. President Harding delivered the address, and the author read the poem." The pamphlet consists of only a single page and is signed at the bottom by the author. There is also a short review of the poem and a copyright statement printed at the bottom of the page.
