This pamphlet is clipped from Bruno's weekly, Feb. 12, 1916. v. 2, no. 7, p. 467-471. illus. The cover illustration is an unflattering depiction of Abraham Lincoln dancing while wearing a long feather in his hair, a short skirt and ribbon laced shoes. Four more illustrations accompany an article explaining why and how cartoonists chose to depict Lincoln during his presidency. Articles titled ""A war song"" and ""The side splitter"" (from Vanity Fair, 1861 and ""Three American birthdays"", those of Lincoln, Washington, and Thomas A. Edison (p. 471-472) are contained in the same issue.

The illustrations in this supplement were reproduced from the publication, "American history told in pictures", and were furnished by the Illustrated Supplement Company, New York.
