This is an official post card of the Mississippi Centennial Exposition featuring the Coliseum, built in the same architectural style as all the exposition buildings--a long, structure with decorative moldings along the roof and arched windows and doors. Flags fly from the roof raised decorative moldings. Flower-lined walkways lead up to the building. The title at the top of the card notes the exposition was supposed to last from Dec. 10, 1917 to June 10, 1918. The title identifying the Manufacturers Building is at the bottom edge of the card.

Mr. Angelo in Action Putting the Personal Touch to All Orders, Gulfport, Mississippi

This postcard features a color illustration of the interior lobby and lounge of the Edgewater Gulf Hotel in Edgewater Park, Mississippi. The lobby image depicts people seated in burgundy chairs and couches, floral patterned chairs and couches, and at tables. A round fireplace is in the center of the main room and floral curtains decorate the entrances between various spaces in the lobby. The title of the card is printed along the top and bottom edges of the card. The back of the postcard is addressed to Mr. J. L. Austin in Harvey, Illinois. The card is postmarked Gulfport, Miss., February 29, 1952 and the postage stamp has been removed. Two green one cent postage stamps are placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Long Beach, Mississippi, Aug. 30, 1952. The description in the upper left reads "This is a good place to live, being one of the nation's healthiest communities. Nearby are golf courses, numerous shuffleboard courts, beautiful drives, good motion pictures, theatres, shops, good salt water beaches for warm days and almost always the golden sunshine, a great prescription to new health and joy." The hotel is a white, seven to nine story building with the middle section of the building having nine stories. The covered entrance features keyhole style cutouts and keyhole shaped windows and doors. Bushes and small trees line the front of the hotel and along the sidewalk in front. The title of the card is printed in the bottom left of the card. The back of the card is addressed to Mrs. Will Dieters in Dubuque, Iowa. The card is postmarked Edgewater Park, Miss., January 30, 1951 and two green, one cent George Washington postage stamps are placed in the upper right corner.
